Battle World - Goal of the game

Since the last Great Battle, the years passed, peace was finally appeared in the world of Battle World. But an unknown event has awakened the sleeping peoples and the troops have restarted to walk. Their goal is simple world domination!

Each troop has a characteristic and an enhancement that give it extra strength. Recruit a troop and enjoy his special powers to expand and conquer a maximum of lands. Each land will bring you a trophy. Fight your neighbors and expand your empire. When you think you reach your limits, fall back and recruit a new troop!

The key to victory is to recruit troops and to know when to retreat an recruit a new troop. It is only at this price that you will win in Battle World

The game

A game is played in several rounds. At the end of the last round, the winner is the one who has won the most trophies.

A round

A round takes place in 4 steps:

1. Recruit a troop
2. Attack lands
3. Defend lands
4. Collect trophies

Step 1 - Recruit a troop

In the 1st round, the player who plays chooses an available troop. Depending on the chosen troop, he will have available more or less units to attack and defend. The number of units depends on the troop and its improvement.
In the following rounds, the player will have the choice between keeping his troop or recruiting new troop. If he decides to recruit a new troop, its current troop retreats (the troupe stays in the world with only one unit per land but the player can not play it). The new troop recruited can't be deployed immediately. The player have to wait for the next round to use it.....

Step 2 - Attack regions

Units troop allow the player to attack the lands. The player will win a trophy for each occupied land. When a new troop is deployed, it must first attack a land on the edge of the map.
To capture a land, player have to use more unitss than those who are already in the land. By default, an unoccupied land costs one unit. You must therefore use 2 units to conquer it. If an land is occupied, you will spend much more units than those already on the land. Thus, a land occupied by two enemy units require spending 4 units to capture it (2 units for troops present + 1 unit for the land + 1 extra unit). Mountainous lands are harder to capture, you will need an extra unit. To count the number of units needed to attack, you must also consider the characteristics of your troop and that of your enemy. Some troops give you one extra point to attack or to defend.
During a fight, if a player loses a land, one of his units in this land disappears, but the others units go in retreat. They will be returned to him for his next attack.

Step 3 - Defend your regions

When the attack is completed, the player can dispatch its units on the lands  occupied by his troop. It puts at least one unit on each land occupied. The objective of this phase is to prepare for the next attack and to prevent his opponents to span its lands.

Step 4 - Collect trophies

In this last step we count the trophies. Each land occupied by a troop of the player give him one trophy. This includes the lands occupied by its troops and those being occupied by retired troop. At the end of the last round, the player who has the most trophies wins the Battle for the World!
